fortrabbit / PHP hosting

🧾

Priced per component.

Affordable PHP hosting with MySQL

Affordable PHP hosting with MySQL, priced per component: PHP, MySQL, storage, traffic, backups and jobs are booked separately and billed by the day. €3.50 a month with a database, no tiers, no bundles.

fortrabbit is affordable managed PHP hosting with MySQL, priced per component and per day, with no bundled tiers. The smallest environment, PHP XS with storage, traffic and one daily backup, costs €2.50 a month; adding the smallest MySQL plan makes it €3.50. A small production site with a database lands between €5 and €10, and a Craft CMS or Laravel app with a 512 MiB PHP plan, 1 GiB MySQL, 2 GiB storage and three backups comes to €19. Every component scales on its own, so a growing database does not force a larger PHP plan. Storage, traffic and MySQL autoscale into the next plan when they fill up; PHP is sized by hand. Billing runs in arrears by the day: book a component for three days, pay for three days, and a deleted environment stops costing money the same day. Prices are the same number in EUR and USD. Every new app starts with seven free days, no credit card, and there is no minimum term.

What customers say

I'd used fortrabbit years ago and liked it, but moved to a VPS, as was all the rage. I've grown tired of thinking about server admin, saw the new platform beta, and gave it a try. Frank and the team have been amazing, and taken my feedback seriously. The component-based pricing is easy to understand and competitive. The dashboard is well thought out, and the platform continues to be built for what I do: PHP, Laravel (Statamic). I'm moving my stuff back, where it always should have been.

2026 — Direct feedback

I just wanted to say that the documentation that you guys have and the service you provided me while I was initially setting everything up was probably the best I've encountered in my 20-ish years of front-end web development. Your dashboard is super simple and it has all of the right things for someone like me, and none of the fluff that isn't necessary.

2023 — Customer support

Haven't looked back since I started using fortrabbit and I always strongly recommend to new clients that their site should be hosted there. The service has been incredibly reliable and more importantly the level of support as a web developer has been fantastic — it feels personal and easy to reach people who actually understand web development and hosting. Managing accounts and billing with clients makes my life a lot easier. A breath of fresh air compared to other web hosts.
