# About OVH
OVH is a large low cost hosting provider from France. It can be seen as an equivalent to Hetzner. Their traditional business is VPS, but they also offer cloud hosting and shared hosting. In 2021, there was a huge fire in one of their data centers. They are powered by atomic energy and pledge to become climate neutral. They have hosted Wikileaks. We briefly looked into OVH as a potential infrastructure provider in 2024.
# Why not OVH?
From our perspective, the offering is confusing. Their might be doubts about security and stability. Their is not much to find about environmental impact of the service.
