About Render
Render.com was the winner of Startup Battlefield at Disrupt SF 2019, so it's a relatively new venture backed PaaS on a mission to replace Heroku. It offers a global CDN, free SSL certificates, and private networks. The interface is user-friendly including metrics graphs with network, CPU, and bandwidth. Similarly, the logs are easy to navigate.
Deploying Docker is easy, with a lot of options such as custom run command, Dockerfile paths, and context directory Persistent disks are only available in paid plans. Build timing can be slow.
