Fully or partially cancel your fortrabbit services. Understand what will be deleted and what will remain, especially in regard of collaboration with shared objects.

# Account cancellation

Remove yourself from fortrabbit. When cancelling your account, you will remove personal access to the fortrabbit hosting system. By cancelling your account, all non-shared payment methods including all its apps will get irreversibly deleted along.

Everything that is shared with other team members or clients will NOT be deleted when you cancel your personal account. When you are involved in shared teams with other members, the teams will not be deleted. You will just leave the teams. The same applies to shared payment methods and the apps that are owned by them.

  1. Login to the fortrabbit dashboard, see account recovery if you don't know how
  2. Go to your account overview (look for your name)
  3. Find the cancel your account button
  4. Read the text carefully and confirm what you are up to
  5. Confirm
  6. Done

You will be billed one more time for the ongoing service period.

# No cancellation by email

Cancellations via email or support ticket is not supported for security reasons. See the consequences and get a final chance to download recent backups.

By signing in, we can verify your identity and ensure the request is legitimate. Cancelling an account can result in the permanent deletion of apps and data. The dashboard workflow includes critical warnings to prevent accidental data loss—details.

# Auto deletion of stale accounts

Abandoned accounts without access to paid objects and no activity will get auto-deleted after a period of time. This is a privacy feature.

# Delete apps

Remove projects. An app represents a website or web application. When deleting apps, all its environments and associated domains will get deleted along. Team members might lose access. Files and databases will be deleted. Costs will be billed up until the day of deletion. Make sure to take backups before deleting apps.

# Delete environments

Remove versions. Environments are versions of websites. When environments associated domains will get deleted along. Team members might lose access. Files and databases will be deleted. Make sure to take backups before deleting environments.

# Delete teams

Delete collaboration structures. Teams are groups of developers sharing app access. Payment methods, apps and environments that are not shared with other teams or clients will be deleted alongside, when deleting a team. Team developers will lose access to the team. Their accounts will not be deleted immediately.

# Delete payment methods

Delete unused business entities. Make sure to review invoices, pay past due invoices if any, download previous invoices. When deleting a payment method, all the apps and attached environments it owns will be deleted alongside. Mind that the pro rated billing cycle is monthly after usage. There will be pending charges for the current month. Even after deleting the payment method one last partial invoice will be sent.
