> Filament hosting on a managed PHP platform: admin panels and back-office apps on Laravel, with git-push deploys, MySQL, a queue worker and the scheduler.

## About Filament

Filament is an open source framework for admin panels, forms and tables, built on [Laravel](/software/laravel) and Livewire. Teams use it for back-office tools and customer portals.

## Filament on fortrabbit

A Filament app is a Laravel app, so it deploys with git push. The Filament software template adds the post-deploy steps a panel needs: migrations, the storage link for uploaded files, and the optimize cache. Uploads land on persistent storage and survive every deploy.

Imports, exports and queued notifications run on the database queue. A worker job keeps `queue:work` running, a cron job fires the scheduler. Both run on the Jobs component.

## Sizing

We deployed a Filament 5 test app with a 500-row CSV import, image uploads and a custom theme. The heaviest request peaked at 10 MiB of memory. A panel needs PHP processes more than memory: their number decides how many requests run at the same moment.

## FAQ

### How do I deploy a Filament app to fortrabbit?

**Git push** — Choose the Filament software template and connect the GitHub repo. Every push runs Composer, builds the theme with npm if configured, then runs migrations, storage:link and optimize after the deploy.

### Do Filament imports and exports work?

**Yes** — They run on the database queue. Add a worker job for queue:work and a cron job for schedule:run. Running both needs the Jobs SM component.

### Do Filament notifications work without WebSockets?

**Yes** — Database notifications work: the panel polls for new ones. Broadcast notifications and Laravel Reverb need WebSockets, which fortrabbit does not support.

### Can I try Filament hosting before paying?

**Yes** — Start a free trial — seven days, no credit card — and deploy a real Filament panel.
