## Human resources

Our [small team](/us/team) consists of web developers and infrastructure engineers. Each team member needs to be able to wear multiple heads. This is how we spend our time:

| Category | Share |
| ----------------------- | ----: |
| Maintenance | 20% |
| Customer support | 20% |
| Research & development | 30% |
| Business administration | 20% |
| Marketing | 5% |
| Creative thinking :) | 5% |

## Infrastructure

fortrabbit is an abstraction layer on top of AWS. Thus a lot of costs are related to the infrastructure. See [our AWS usage details](/platform/infrastructure) for more.

## Sub processors

Billing, code collaboration, knowledge base, project management, support - an umbrella of different services is used to provide our customers with the service we do. See the [sub processor list](/legal/sub-processors) for more details.

## Marketing

Our marketing budget is small compared to other more marketing driven [hosting providers](/hosting-guide). We currently do:

- Content generation, working with external freelancers
- Partnerships with software vendors

## Donations

- Sponsorships for FOSS
- Project Earth
- Atmosfair
